These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the FamShield application and related services (the “Service”). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who may use FamShield

FamShield is intended for parents or legal guardians to manage a child’s device. You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right and required consents to install and use FamShield on any device you manage. Children should not create accounts.

2. Prohibited use

You must not use FamShield for unlawful monitoring, stalking, or any purpose that violates privacy or other laws. You must not attempt to bypass device security or obtain data you are not authorized to access.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are processed through Google Play. Pricing, renewal terms, and available subscription options are shown in the app and/or Google Play at purchase. Your subscription will renew automatically unless canceled through Google Play before the renewal date.

Refunds (if any) are handled according to Google Play’s policies and applicable local laws.

4. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. By using the Service, you agree to our Privacy Policy available at https://www.famshieldsoftware.com/privacy.

5. Service changes and availability

We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, including adding or removing features. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

6. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FamShield Software will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, or to protect the security of the Service.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where local law requires otherwise.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date.
